Cost: $225. taxes included
Instructor: Allana Benham
Join us for a weekend workshop that investigates the expression of gender in the human body. We will examine Richer’s canon of male and female proportion and apply these to the live model. We will also look at the similarities and differences between men and women in skeletal and muscular structure, and superficial form.
Friday May 19 at 4:30pm
Allana Michelle Benham will give a lecture on the work of Dr. Paul Richer (1849-1933) to students at the Academy of Realist Art Boston. Dr. Richer was the foremost teacher of artistic anatomy at the École des Beaux-Arts Paris. His writings have influenced generations of artists seeking to understand the complexities of the human form.
Eric Mannella and Allana Benham will give a presentation on Tuesday June 7, 2016 at ArtNow Westmount. They will discuss their personal artistic work and the program at Atelier de Brésoles. 7pm at the Westmount Public Library. All are welcome!
