Eric Mannella is an award-winning Canadian artist and co-founder of Atelier de Brésoles. He has an MFA cum laude from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from York University in Toronto. Mr. Mannella is the recipient of a Forbes Foundation Travel Grant and the Prince of Wales Scholarship from the Prince of Wales Foundation. He also received a merit scholarship from the New York Academy. Mr. Mannella was featured in the 2007 documentary film L'Art du Nu; he has given artist talks and painting demonstrations at Concordia University, S.U.N.Y. New Paltz, and Algonquin College. Mr. Mannella is related to Sir William Orpen, an important portrait artist of Irish descent, active in London in the early 20th century.
Allana Benham is a contemporary figurative painter and co-founder of Atelier de Bresoles. She recently published the first English translation of Dr. Paul Richer's New Artistic Anatomy: Female Morphology. Ms. Benham has an MFA cum laude from the New York Academy of Art and a BA with honors in Museum Studies from Brown University, and studied landscape painting at the Florence Academy. She has taught specialized courses at Ubisoft and given lectures and demonstrations at Algonquin College, S.U.N.Y. New Paltz, and the Beaconsfield Art Association. She is a specialist in artistic anatomy and has attended dissections and surgeries for her anatomical research.
