This class will focus on compositions of the whole figure or the portrait, painted in oil. Working from the live model, students will block in the important forms and proceed to paint the figure in grisaille or in colour. Students will try a variety of mixtures on the palette to represent the colour and value relationships observed from the model.

Hours: Fridays, or Sundays, 10:30am to 5:30pm with 1-hour lunchbreak

Prerequesites: This course is open to anyone who has completed Cast Drawing at the atelier; Grisaille Painting is also strongly recommended
